Let us tell you a story.

We're a passionate team of former educators, journalists, and nerds who love making things.

Here are some of those things.

Teach For America – Bring your passions to the classroom

We pursued a bold new vision for Teach For America’s 2015 recruitment campaign, weaving together the story of four diverse teachers and the passions they bring to their classrooms. Given the historical challenges Teach For America has faced in articulating its mission, we opted to do away with words entirely, relying on imagery and music to more viscerally depict teachers’ power to effect change. Our work was featured by the US Department of Education and received a Telly Award for excellence in online video.

All square – Grilled Cheese with a purpose

All Square is the dream of entrepreneur Emily Turner: a nonprofit restaurant committed to rehabilitating those with criminal records. We leaned on the voices of Emily and her key advisor, an activist with experience in the criminal justice system, with images of the Minneapolis community to create this video for All Square's Kickstarter campaign, which was featured by Kickstarter staff and exceeded its fundraising goal of $50k.

Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation – Why we teach

Produced in partnership with Redbird Studios.

When the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation asked us to help them celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, we proposed an innovative approach: a scripted video that captured the elusive triumph of teachers' long-term efforts to reach troubled students. The result was a campaign centerpiece for the Foundation’s Teacher2Teacher network, appearing on the homepage of the New York Times and garnering over a million views in its first week of release.

Anne Lewis Strategies – #OneSmallThing: A Back to School Adventure

We partnered with real teachers Lacey & Melissa to spread the word about their #OneSmallThing teaching strategy with a video built on their quirky and fun-loving personalities. Inspired by classic Nickelodeon shows like Pete & Pete, the resulting video was developed in collaboration with Lacey, Melissa, and their actual colleagues and students. It has reached an audience of nearly a million viewers and counting.

EdReports.Org – Whiteboard Wisdom

EdReports.org wanted to highlight the personalities, perspectives, and expertise of its talented educator review team during a brief summer training. With limited production time, space, and resources, we came up with Whiteboard Wisdom, proving once again how helpful it can be to have a box to think outside of. This series of video profiles showcases the human beings behind EdReports.org's important work and allows them to share their mission in a fun and engaging way.
