Classroom, Meet World

We pulled together a massive cast of amazing kids for this narrative project for The KIND Foundation designed to illustrate the boundary-transcending benefits of their virtual exchange platform, Empatico. Despite being stuck at school on a Saturday, cast and crew were both eager and gracious – we had so much fun capturing images with this group. Credit to Chris Willard for the photos.

Adventures in Iowa

We had an incredible experience producing this digital short for Anne Lewis Strategies in honor of the back-to-school season. Having developed the script in collaboration with an amazing pair of elementary educators, we hit the road at the start of August for a two-day shoot in rural Iowa.

These sixth and seventh graders from Grimes, Iowa were jazzed to help out with our production and had plenty of acting chops to showcase for the camera. In this shot, Scott assumes a classic "pensive director" pose as he reviews a crucial shot with the cast.

Lacey (right) and Melissa (left) are such generous and talented teachers. We couldn't have asked for better collaborators in the writing and production of this project. In this setup, you can see the goodness just radiating from this dynamic duo!

This final shot was taken shortly after we wrapped our two-day shoot. We're exhausted but so happy with what we were able to capture. And we had a blast in the process – something that's always important to us. From left to right: Lacey, Melissa, Meg, and Scott.
